Dr. Gibson

Dr. Donald M. Gibson, M.D., F.A.C.S. Download C.V.
Dr. Gibson attended Austin College, and then Baylor College of Medicine where he completed all of his internship and residency programs for general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery. He has four beautiful children and enjoys playing golf.

Dr. Gibson works mainly out of Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital but will perform surgery at Spring Branch Medical Center and West Houston Medical Center. He has served on the Board of Trustees with the Memorial Hermann Hospital System, as Chief of Staff of Memorial City Hospital, Department of Surgery Chairman at Memorial City Hospital and currently is the Director of Surgical Services at Memorial City. He enjoys bringing new technology to the hospitals and patients he sees.

Dr. Gomez

Dr. Gomez was born in Miami, Florida in 1965. He attended Rice University and went on to Baylor College of Medicine. His internship, residency, and fellowships were done in San Antonio, Texas at the University of Texas Health Science Center. He is married and loves to read. Dr. Gomez is also fluent in Spanish.

At the present time Dr. Gomez is the Chairman of the Surgery Department here at Memorial City Hospital, the Secretary of the Harris County Medical Society for 2004, and an Associate Clinical Professor of Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery with the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston. He also participates on the Committee for the Protection of Human Subjects through the University of Texas Health Science Center of Houston. Dr. Gomez has worked hard to bring new technology to the hospitals he works with which include Memorial Hermann Memorial City Hospital, Spring Branch Medical Center, as well as West Houston Medical Center.

Joanie Heinly

Joanie Heinly has been with us since May of 2003. She was born in Lake Charles, LA in 1965 is married and has a daughter. She graduated from Texas A&M University-Galveston with a Bachelor of Science in Marine Biology. She later graduated with honors from UTMB-Galveston as a Physician’s Assistant. She works hard and has a wonderful reputation with the patients. She enjoys Texan football games and interior decorating on the side.
